It isn't so uncommon for celebrities to shower their friends and families with designer duds and jewelry. But when Blake Lively wanted to get a gift for her husband, Ryan Reynolds, she went with something a little more unique and sentimental: a painting of his childhood home.

The Deadpool star took to Instagram on August 14 to share a photo of himself standing next to the one-of-a-kind picture, which shows a young version of Reynolds delivering newspapers outside of a quaint house with a Christmas tree visible through the bay window. “This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me,” wrote Reynolds. “It was created by @dannygalieote. If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake.”

He added more detail about the significance of the painting, saying that his first job while growing up in Canada was delivering for the Vancouver Sun. “The house in the painting is my childhood home,” he wrote. “My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy, on the front page of the newspaper. The house no longer stands, but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head.”
