I used to flip houses. I flipped five houses. I would buy a house and I would put my blood sweat and tears into renovating it and getting ready for sale. And then I would go out and seek out a realtor to help me sell the house and finish the transaction.
Of course the realtor would do their job, exactly what I expected, the deal would complete in the sale would be done. Then the realtor would turn to me and say thank you so much I really appreciate it, I would then cut them a check for tens of thousands of dollars, and they would turn to me and give me a $12 bottle of wine as a thank you gift. A $12 bottle of wine! How do you think that made me feel?
Do you think I then turned to that realtor and said oh thank you so much what a heartfelt gift I really appreciate? No, I felt insulted and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
So then I would start working on my next house to flip, and when the house is done do you think I went back to my original realtor? The realtor that gave me the $12 bottle of wine? No I find a new realtor. And the cycle would happen over and over again.
